I wonder if you do apply APRAKASHA MUDRA, if you do JALANDHARA BANDHA,
then you must be applying aprakasha mudra...

Aprakasha mudra is practised during the retention phase of the
breathing process. The reason is to contain the pressure inside the
lungs easily.Actually it is a must for JALANDHARA bandha.

The Sanskrit word {JALANDHARA} is composed of (JALA) meaning net and
(DHARA) meaning upword pull. This bandha reduces the tensions in the
neck, creates hormonal balance in the thyroid and parathyroid glands
while improving the quality of thevoice and strengthening the throat
area.

As all of you know how to do it, no need to explain the technique of
jalandhara bandha.

Sorry, Puma, I do practice Jalandhara Bandha as an integral part of my
pranayama techniques, but I don't know what you mean by APRAKASHA MUDRA.
Would you care to explain?

Hi Salvatore,

Since you do apply Jalandhara Bandha, I am sure you are also applying
Aprakasha Mudra too.

Aprakasha Mudra Technique: with retention of breath we do perform a
swallowing movement of the air after completion of the inhalation. By
this way, this seals the breath at the throat and the retention is made
easy. This mudra is practised before jalandhara bandha.

I presume you do follow this mudra before Jalandhara bandha. Right?

With compassion,
