Mumbai - The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday
condemned the desecration of a Hindu temple in the United
States. The National Vice President of BJP Vinay
Sahasrabuddhe said that the attacks on Indians and Hindu
temples in the US are extremely deplorable.

Expressing his views on a micro blogging site,
Sahasrabuddhe added, "Remember, Human Rights are for all.
Selective brouhaha unacceptable!"

The comment by Sahasrabuddhe, who is considered as part
of the BJP's think-tank, is seen as significant
especially in the wake of US President Barack Obama's
recent comments that "acts of intolerance" experienced by
religious faiths in India in the past few years would
have shocked Mahatma Gandhi.

BJP spokesperson Nalin Kohli also condemned desecration.
He said, "There have been a series of incidents in the
last few days. The unfortunate desecration of a temple,
the shooting of an Indian person, the elderly gentleman
who was forcibly brought down by the police officers, all
of these are certainly are condemnable and they raise
questions. I think every country has to work towards
tolerance.

He further added, "With regard to this incident we hope
that the perpetrators are caught..justice is given to
those who have suffered and at the same time such
incidents don't take place again."

Though Obama had not named any particular religion and
said that the violence is not unique to one group or
religion, oppositions parties had came down heavily on
Modi, saying that the US leader had made such comments
because of the "communal and divisive politics" of the
BJP-led NDA government.

A few days ago, a police officer had allegedly assaulted
a 57-year-old Indian man in Alabama that left him
partially paralysed.

Sure, but how many "attacks" are done? "A temple" in his words.

This made me laugh. In the same mirror how would he see the "attack"
situation on religions in india?
